"Petite fantaisie" to the glory of the One Who Thinks.

Unique item. This miniature (8x11cm) is painted on wood, coated with a mixture of glue and "Blanc de Meudon" : a minimum of six coats are necessary, then the surface is lightly sand-papered. The technique which is used is a mixture of watercolor and natural gums (arabic gum...), the gilding is made with copperleaf, the frame is made out of branches of vervena. The miniature is glued on a thin piece of wood, painted in red and gold, with additions of old small golden plaster elements.
